Your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available.?

Asked by: flash 5789 views YA Discussion

Am I the only one with the problem here? I filed mine electronically and was accepted on 2/4. I was supposed to receive my refund within 8 to 15 business days however nothing yet. Everytime I check my status I get the same message “Your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available”. I called the company that filed my taxes and even IRS and still no date on when my refund will be available. Did anyone have this problem and have received their refund yet? Or am I only one? Anyone with their refund pending with the same status as mine? Please help!

Who ever told you 8 to 10 business days handed you a line of BS. It takes 3 to 6 weeks.

same here, stayed on hold with the IRS for 45 minutes last night to hear, “its not your fault, they are just taking longer this year b/c of the education credit not being ready until Feb 14.” I sent mine in on 1/31 and was accepted 2/15, yesterday i checked it and it said “your tax return is still being processed, a refund date will be provided when available. My 21 days will be up tomorrow 3/6. Hope I hear something soon. The lady told me if i didn’t hear anything by the end of the month to call back.

    Tax Topic 152, Refund Information”

Because of the fiscal cliff everything was delayed and the IRS was unable to start the process until Congress set the rules. Be patient it will come.

someone needs to light a fire under their ass. This makes no sense and the people there are so rude (IRS rep). When we get paid every week they continue to take taxes out. So, what if next week I decide I want to hold my taxes from them? Do you think i will get a call then??? You damn right I would. This tax season has gotten so crazy I am not filing next year or the year after that. I was a vicitm of identity theif and I am being made to suffer. did they catch the asshole that tried to steal my money. I dont think so, but I am being made to suffer.

I was told by H & R Block if anyone filed claiming a school tax credit that was the hold up one one issue, they are having a problem with that, and you should receive a letter in 2 to 3 weeks, but the letter says the same thing as the internet, it is being processed and thats all.

If you were told by the IRS that you are recieveing a letter in the mail it is because you have been randomly selected for a tax review. I know this because it happened to me. I still havent recieved my refund and I filed feb. 2. This random selection to be reviewed is bull crap.

ditto with mine. filed electronically through h&r block. we had them prepared on 2/1/13 but did not send until the tuition credit was squared away on 2/14. it was received by them on 2/15 and stayed in that state until 3/5/13 and from 5-11th has been processing. we have not been told of a review or had any letters mailed. i have not been able to reach a live agent only recording but feel sure they would tell me a line of crap also. we were told max 21 days which is what the irs site says also which was up on 3/8/13.

We are having the same problem…..we filed Feb. 2. It is very depressing to say the least and H & R Block cannot do anything about it.
