Writing off Gas Mileage on 1099?

can you write off mileage for going to work form home AND going back from work to home?
The place im contracted with REQUIRES me to work in their office. Does this make a difference?

    Nope. Only from work at one site to work at another site for the same employer if you have to drive your own car. You also have to keep a daily diary with the odometer reading when you start and when you arrive along with the time of day recorded for every day you want to take that mileage credit.

    No, that’s commuting mileage and not deductible whether you’re an employee or a contractor. If you go to multiple job sites thru the day, the mileage between sites is deductible.

    No.

    Non-deductible commuting is still non-deductible commuting whether you are an employee or independent contractor.

    Your commute to work is not deductible.

    Get yourself a nice home office, then you can deduct it.
