Will I receive a special form to file my taxes for worker’s comp pay that I received this year?

Asked by: mgates 420 views YA Discussion

I live in the state of NY. I was out of work receiving pay from worker’s comp from August until December and then I returned to work prior to the end of the year. When I go to file my taxes will I need anything from worker’s comp or is my W-2 all I need?

True worker’s comp isn’t taxable income, so you won’t get a form.

You need to file ALL 1099s that you receive, including the 1099G from the government.
