They released a statement on the news earlier this week that said for those of us who filed before the jan. 26th, we should expect a one week delay. Personally, I feel as though they should’ve said at least a one week delay. i have a refund date of 4 weeks after i was accepted. So many people filed early this year and the irs’ new system was unprepared for what came through. From what I understand, somewhere around jan 17th thru 20th, there was some sort of system crash that is causing delays and problems. Hopefully it won’t be too much longer for you. I like you am quite irritated by all this foolishness. Good luck to you!

Mine was accepted on 24 Jan, still no refund. Called today, the lady I spoke to wasn’t any help. She stated if I haven’t received a notice there wasn’t anything wrong it’s just being processed…….really. She also stated they wouldn’t look in the system to give me any information. I guess since it’s not her money why should she be helpful. This is absolutely ridiculous; people that filed after me have received their refunds. Guess I won’t file so early next year!

I filed mine on the 22nd. It was accepted like the next day. WMR says that I should get my direct deposit refund on the 6th.

If you filed online, have you gone back to hrblock.com to make sure that you did not miss anything?… I have heard of the IRS website being buggy, and some people get their refunds before it is even updated. But I think you should double check with H&R Block.

    See this: http://www.accountingtoday.com/news/IRS-Refund-Delay-Real-Time-Tax-System-61573-1.html

Refunds are being delayed one to two weeks on average this year due to the implementation of stronger fraud protection/detection in the IRS’ computers. They obviously didn’t test it out before opening the doors for filers. Sucks to be us.

Por Favor! Think about it people…The Government is out of money, so they are going to collect the April 18th taxes, invest them to make $$$ (haha) and hold off distributing refunds as long as possible….and there’s nothing, absolutly nothing we the tax payers can do about it except wait…..

No, it’s all the ones who vote Republican, theirs will be late. My Dem friends have gotten theirs back already…… I am beginning to believe it.

Maybe we should be able to charge late fees and fines to the government. It is our money that they have been using all year. We just want it back in a timely manner.

Hubby jokes and says it’s because he’s a Republican that it’s taking so long. A friend posted she did hers with Liberty recently and got hers back in 10 days. We have been
waiting a month for it to get automatically deposited. They are so fast when you owe
them but when they owe you, they are ridculously slow and the money could help us right now.

It’s sad when the government wants to garnish our wages they can, when they want to add taxes on items they can, add tolls, garbage collection, water, electric, cars, gas, medical bills, clothing, rent, food……. We pay for it all because we need it, never once does anyone get by telling all collectors to wait and still be given services. We do our part! Why can’t the government start doing there’s???
As far as tax fraud it’s been going on since the 90′s if they haven’t fixed it since then they need to find another solution!!!
Example stop taking online returns, make people either go to an IRS office or personal tax office. If someone can only do it online make them callnin and say yes I approve my tax submit ion after personal past questions have been answered…..
    Thank you!
