what percent of your paycheck is taken away for taxes in Illinois?

im 16 and im going to work at footlocker and ill probably be making 7.25 and hour and working 25 hours a week. how much will i be getting weekly after taxes??

How others found here:

  • how much is taken away from paychecks

    you know that 5.65% of the gross will be withheld for FICA, Ill may have a state employee tax which could be 1%, or more or less
    at 16 and not anticipating making $ 5950 for the remainder of 2012 you can file exempt on your W-4 and no income taxes will be withheld

    Single and -0- ZERO Allowances for my Guesstimate at this time
    Gross pay $ 181.25
    Federal income tax $ 13.99
    Social Security $ 7.61
    Medicare $ 2.63
    Illinois$ 9.06
    Net pay (take home) $ 147.96

    If you have single/0 allowances on your W-4, which you should, your paycheck would be around

    Weekly Gross Pay$ 181.25
    Federal Withholding$ 13.99
    Social Security$ 7.61
    Medicare$ 2.63
    Illinois$ 9.06

    Net Pay$ 147.96
