Tax return was accepted February 14th and is still processing.?

Asked by: sfbs 476 views YA Discussion

I filed my taxes on January 31, but because I had the American Opportunity Credit, my return was not accepted until February 14th. Now, it is 2 weeks later and when I check WMR it STILL says “processing”. My husband called the IRS last night, but they refused to even look at our account until the 21 day waiting period is over. We have 2 children so the only other thing we had on our return was the EIC. Is anyone else having this problem? I am starting to get really concerned.

I am in the exact same situation too. I checked this morning hoping for something but no still showing the bar and processing. I filed through HR Block on Jan 31st and they held it until Feb 14. I got an email on the 14th saying it had been accepted. I tried to order my transcript because I need to fill out my FAFSA for next year and it won’t allow me to order that either. I did call the IRS and they told me that it hasnt been processed yet so that is why I cant order my transcript and just to check back on March 7th.

Yes, I filed mine electronically, it was accepted on the 14th of February and I am not even having a status on the IRS refund site. I called and was told that people who filed requesting an Education Credit are experiencing delays.

There are plenty of people who were “accepted” on the 31st & are still waiting. Most are ending up in “review” since there is so much fraud.

Same exact boat as you. I filed mine on the 30th of Jan and it was accepted on 14 of feb and as of today i get nada..well I check mine and it tells me that I enter the wrong information and to reenter and sometimes it tells me still processing. I spoke to an irs rep yesterday and he said if I dont receive anything by March the 7th to call them. So I am crossing my fingers that not only me, but everyone gets their refund in time
