Tax return under review.. why?

Asked by: sfbs 541 views YA Discussion

The lady at the irs dept. told me I had a letter sent out a week ago and they need additional information from me.. I filed 2 W2S this year, 1 dependent (myself), no credits or anything just normal tax return for me.. any ideas what this could be about? should I call a tax lawyer?
by saying i claimed myself as a dependent i meant i claim myself when i got my job, not when filing

Well, if you listed yourself as a dependent on your tax return that would explain it. You never claim yourself as a “dependent.”

Something you reported by mistake or lie about. I do not know but they may call you within their IRS office for a review.

I do not mess around with the IRS because they can take me from being a sugar daddy to a broke lonely daddy anyway Take Care
