SSI and IRS computer matching?

Asked by: flash 474 views YA Discussion

My son is on disability, he has special needs. I do not work and have been getting SSI for almost 3 years. I let my mother file me and my son on her taxes because we live with her. I got a letter today from SSI requesting a meeting about some computer matching information with the IRS. I am freaking out. Is it related to taxes you think?

How others found here:

  • ssi and irs computer matching
  • irs computer matching
  • ssi says computer matching with irs doesnt match

    its related to YOUR SSI
apparently you did not previously report that you were living with your mother which means that you have additional support than you first revealed when you applied for the SSI
your is based on needs and if you live with your mother your needs are definitely less unless you pay her rent
your son’s is based on disability and only changes if his disability does
