Return is being Processed.. No date! HELP!?

Asked by: tmoran 27303 views YA Discussion

My husband is part of a group of that refund date was changed to 2/21 even though he filed early.. Now the WMR site says ” Your tax return has been received and is being processed.” What does this mean? It doesn’t even have a date on it any more and we never received a letter stating that we’re being reviewed.

How others found here:

  • Your tax return is still being processed
  • your tax return has been received and is being processed no date
  • tax return still being processed

they don”t have to send aletter to tell you that its in review…….review is actually a part of processing….some of us are lucky and not chosen for the review, and then there are some of us that they choose to review…..its not an audit!!!!! the sysytem picks random ones to review…….mine was in review…i was accepted on the 21st, but i now have a dd date for the 6th….dosen”t take very long at all……..

My return was accepted on the 19th. Ive never been able to get a status on wmr or the automated system, to this day neither will even acknowledge my return not even to say it was processing. I called monday and spoke to an irs agent who told me they have it, its just being processed and they no direct deposit date yet, it can take up to 3 weeks.. bla bla bla.
Well i called again today for an update and they now have a dd date of 2/14.
Im just glad to get some sort of date.
You may want to try and call to get some more info. Obviously, they have more than wmr is able to tell you. I called this number to talk to someone: 1-800-829-0582 X362

ALL returns will switch to “still being processed” after a set # of days, if a DD has not been made. This is to prevent a conflict with the “21 day” schedule, although that number isn’t binding to begin with. People tend to call and freak out if the 21 day mark gets close. Most people who are in “Still processing” change back to a new DDD not long afterwards, although some people have received a deposit without the WMR tool ever updating again. This is all presuming that you didn’t file Injured Spouse, an amendment, et cetera. Those forms have their own waiting periods, and the WMR tool is usually of little, if any, help for those taxpayers.

Most returns that are under review for a clear reason will state (with a large exclamation point) that they need you to “Take action” by calling to provide additional information. Others may simply be a routine review or system delay, which is usually resolved in 7 to 14 days. Those actually being audited will usually NOT be notified by the system, instead receiving a letter in the mail. Note that if you are being audited, phone agents are prohibited by IRS guidelines from informing a taxpayer of this until the return has been examined by an actual IRS agent (a much different creature than seasonal phone agents) on an IRS campus.

Good luck to all of you.

    Hello Everyone,
I wanted to make my contribution to posting.. since I have read so many other posting that have kept me on pins and needles … However !! Hopefully my info. will give you guys some hope thats still waitng..I’m in Georgia, I filed 2/14/13 with taxfreeusa.com, Accepted 2/15/13
I called 1-800-829-1954 and received a Deposit Date of 2/25/13. federal return, I then called my Suntrust Bank. to ask if they see a IRS refund pending submission, they confirmed yes.!!! Thank You!! Jesus!! Also I checked online with dept. of revenue state of ga & checked my status they gave me a ddd of 2/26/13. So I guess it didn’t take the whole 21 days or 3weeks to get my refund. Oh.. I filed Head of Household, EIC, Small Independant Business, & get this…wait for it….. wait for it.. 8863 form!!!

Wow this is awesome to hear, and I wish it was me. I filed on the 28th of Jan, was accepted on the 15th of Feb, and I haven’t heard anything about my taxes. So you have given me some hope of it coming soon. Yesterday I went to local IRS office and they couldn’t tell me anything except that it’s being processed. And I file the same way you did with the exception of Small Indepen. Bus. I have the 8863 form and some of my the ladies I work with have them as well, but have received their taxes. So I don’t know why I’m still waiting but it’s very frustrating. Hopefully I’ll hear something by Friday.

I must be getting reviewed to. I think mine is from that stupid education credit as well. I have never had an issue until I filed that form. Anyone I know that filed without that form has received their refund. I find it quite frustrating myself also!!!!!!

My return was accepted on Feb. 14th and it still is being processed. It no longer tells me that most returns are processed in 21 days. Now it says a date will by posted when available. I am so glad that I do not need this money. I am looking forward to a couple household purchases, however I have given up hope. I have a daughter’s birthday at the end of March, I have made arrangements without this money. One day I will just be excited to see the money in my account, until then tax refunds this year are a joke. I also had to file form 8863 which put filing my taxes on delay. I was lucky enough to receive my state refund right away, but federal may make it here by summer. It is kind of frustrating when I use the money for the larger items that I may not necessarily need but feel I deserve.

I filed on Jan 28th but it didnt get accepted until the 14th of Feb, it now has been 20 LONG Days and It still is saying processed. I have called the IRS and they only can tell me its still being processed! My transmisson went out in my car and I need a new car like yesterday! I have never have experience this in all the years I have filed my taxes. What happened to you getting your return the next day when you filed through H & R Block! I dont know what is happening to our country anymore! Its my money and I earned it but they want to miss around on giving it to me! Doesnt make any sense to me! I pay my taxes and I should get my return before the people that are on Social Security and their Rent rebate checks they get for doing nothing all year. I am not talking about the old people that has paid Social Security for 50+ years but I am talking about people like my Sister in-law that is to freaking Fat to work! It just makes me so angry, the whole situation!!

I am similar if not same situation. We filed ours electronically with H&R Block ($344 tax preparation fee). it was accepted on 2/15 and sat in a accepted state from 2/15 to 3/5/13. From 3/5/15 to 3/11/13 it has stayed in processing status with no date for delivery. We don’t have anything real difficult. We claimed mortgage interest, the tuition credit, child care, and the credit for one child. It is bogus in my opinion to pay this much for preparation and be told to expect in about 14 days but given a absolute longest time of 3/8/13 and still no return or even date. I have been unable to find a number to speak to a live agent.

I filed 1/26 w hr block then we received a call a couple of days later saying they couldn’t file till 2/14 cause of our form for college students. It was received by IRS on 2/14. Hr block said I should have received it this past weekend. Still nothing. Hr block has been very uncompasionate to helping find out the problem. Now we look at gloom here My vehicle was repoed for being 16 days late. I can’t finish my son’s FASFA cause I can’t download with IRS data retreival tool. My utilities are getting ready to be shut off. Some of us really rely on our income taxes to help. All we wanted to do with our return was get caught up on our bills and fill up our fridge. We are a family of 6, 1 income, no assistance cause we don’t qualify cause on paper we supposedly make 100 dollars too much. Never had a problem with my taxes before all we can do is sit here and watch the wave of bad luck hit and ask why. Thanks for letting me vent I felt we did something wrong with our taxes. I will pray for all of us to get threw.

Well guys did you get your email from hrblock they messed up on college credit forms so now we have to wait 4 to 6 weeks to get our refund. Everytime I called they said it was an irs issue not theirs and now the truth be told they messed up and we have to wait.

Well, its now July 06,2013…My husband had an original date in Feb,2013…..Still being processed is all the we can find out, We have went to the Federal Building (TWICE) and they seem to put the blame on someone else, but still no real results or time frame. Now if this was on the other foot, if we owed the IRS, they would have their money all long time ago, so much for our Goverment looking out for its people……..lol And yes, we do need the money, we have been relying on it since we filed.
