Oh boy… 1040x fun!?

I need to amend my 1040. How do I fill out the 1040x? I’m trying to disclaim a deduction and therefore, change my adjusted gross income. I make VERY little money. I’m pretty sure I still won’t owe anything. I just need step by step help filling this out. Also, do I have to fill out the entire form or just the part(s) that need correcting. And do I have to fill ot another 1040 to go with it? Thanx for the help!

    follow each line as it requests
    if you are changing an exemption you change that line
    if your deduction was incorrect, that is the line to change
    a 1040X is an amendment, meaning change what was wrong to the correct figure

    Column A, What you had on your return when you started
    Column C, What is now correct
    Column B, the difference
    Back side of form, narrative to explain the change.
