Netspend Card (taxes)?

Asked by: mflewis 332 views YA Discussion

So, I chose the option of getting my tax refund sent to me on a Netspend Prepaid Card. I got the state refund back about a week ago, and activated the card. The activation process gave me an option of setting the card to “cash load” or “direct deposit”, anytime I want to put money on the card. My question is….with my Federal refund coming soon, will they still be able to deposit my money into that account, if I chose “cash load”, instead of direct deposit? It said nothing to do with the tax returns, it was just speaking in general. Should I, and is there any way, to change that option? Or will they still be able to deposit the federal refund into that account?

How others found here:

  • can the irs garnish my prepaid netspend account
  • cash tax refund and deposit on netspend
  • irs load to netspend prepaid card
