Is the IRS IS OUT OF MONEY?

A family member works for a tax service and heard that the IRS is out of money .They are waiting for people that owe money to send it to them so they can send it to the ones that gets refunds.Our country is truly in shambles.
US Treasury Department is however inclused with the IRS
included ^

    Dumbest thing I have ever heard since the IRS does not issue out checks to begin with. Checks are issued by the US Treasury.

    And??? Tell your family member that they need a thicker foil hat.

    Tell your family member to make a note of that source and NEVER take tax or financial advice from it again. EVER.

    1. The IRS does not send you the refund. FMS, the payment arm of the US Treasury, does.

    2. By its very nature, the US Treasury can’t “run out” of money.
