is being an accountant easy or hard?

I’m transferring to a 4 year university and I’m declaring accounting as my major. I no the schooling is going to be hard but i think it will be worth it, but when schools done how is the field. Also im good with money but not advanced math like calculus will that be a problem.

    I think it is relatively easy.

    In 16 years as an accountant, I have never used calculus and I have used algebra once.

    I did an accounting major, worked for a year, then did law school for 3 years. Law school was many times harder than the accounting degree. Compare: studying 3-4 hours the day before a test and getting A’s in accounting, to studying 40-50 hours a week plus class time all semester to get B’s in law school.

    It isn’t easy, in a pure sense. It does take certain skills to do well. You do need to be very attentive, thorough, and detail-minded to get everything right. Small mistakes can screw everything up, so it is difficult in that sense, but it’s not… say… aerospace engineering.
