Hello, I am a tax preparer and two of my clients received that letter. Basically what you have to do call the number in the letter and answer the questions. What the department wants to verify is that you are the person who you are claiming to be. Do not worry! You are not being audited.

Hello thank your post it made me feel better since the first one above saidnit was scam…the gentleman I spoke to was I guess having a bad day and said it will take another 4 to 6 weeks….does it typically take that long or can it come in sooner since its already been 3 weeks since I filed…much appreciated if you take the time to reply to this :)

I never heard of “Integrity & Verification Operations” This does not sound like an IRS issued document. They do not send a letter to tell a taxpayer that the payment has been approved and is on the way. IF you did your taxes correctly the money shows up in your bank account or you receive a check.

Who really sent this letter and is it a scam?

I paid H & R Block almost $500 to do my rapid return, they need give back their filing fee for those who waited over 6 weeks and for those who are still waiting.
