You can go to irs.gov and click on “Where’s my refund?” That will tell you whether or not they received the return and the expected date of your refund.

FWIW, “return” is the form you filed. “Refund” is only if you would get money back.

The IRS is holding a lot of refunds this year until they can verify the withholding against the actual W-2 from the employer.

You should have at least received a notification from Turbo Tax that your forms had been received and submitted. If not, I’d start with them.

And do you really know the difference between your income tax RETURN and your anticipated REFUND $ $ $ amount that that you may be expecting to receive as a DD to your personal bank account after the IRS finishes the processing of your 1040 income tax return to there satisfaction and then when they will approve it and then they will SEND out the REFUND $ $ $ amount that they have approved for your situation.

    Refund Inquiries
You can check the status of your refund 72 hours after IRS acknowledges receipt of your e-filed return. For the fastest information go to http://www.irs.gov and click on WHERE IS MY REFUND or call 1-800-829-1954 or 1-800-829-4477.
After the REFUND amount is SENT out from the IRS for direct deposit to the account number that you chose to enter on your correctly completed income tax return your REFUND amount is then under the control of your account number holder that you used SO that would have to be next contact to find out when they will make the AMOUNT of your REFUND be available to you for you to be able to access it and start using your REFUND amount.
Hope that you find the above information useful for your situation and good luck to you. 05/25/2011
