I filed form 8379 “Injured Spouse” about 3 weeks ago and I know it takes about 8 weeks to process but I am wondering if I will get my FULL refund once it is processed? and if perhaps I will get it before the eight weeks??
I filed electronic but I am unsure if I should look out in my mail for a check or direct deposit???
it is seriously impossible to get through the IRS by phone! any info or experience with this type of situation is appreciated.

side-note: My husband and I filed jointly, but he is unemployed no income whatsoever. Refund got deferred do to an old school loan he had 7-8 years prior to us getting married.

did you go to irs.gov and query “form 8379″? That might lead you to a publication or IRS “letter” that can shed light on your situation.

It depends if you are in a community property state or not. The IRS is behind so do not expect it early.
