How much will I get back in taxes if I claim one child in Texas!?

I just had a baby in September! Father is not in picture and I don’t get child support! In curious how much I will get back in February!!

    That depends on how much income you earned for the year and on how much you had withheld for taxes by your employer. Since you tell us neither of those things, we can’t possibly begin to guess how much your refund will be, or whether you will get one at all.

    You will get your taxes back in the form of government services including the costs of educating your child–something you could not afford to do if others without children weren’t also paying the way.

    Somewhere between zero and a few thousand dollars. Not nearly enough info to tell. If you didn’t work in 2012, zero. If you did, how much will you earn total for the year, how old are you, who do you live with and for how long in 2012?

    Depends how much you have worked. Depends if you have any earned income. TANF is not income. If you have not worked or paid any taxes, there is no reason to get a tax return.
