How long will it take to get my renters rebate check if they said that it was processed Wednesday?

Asked by: dtba 1087 views YA Discussion

I live in Vermont. We did our federal and State tax return online, then did the renters rebate later on. My husband called on Thursday and the lady said, “It was processed yesterday.” I’m just wondering how long it takes for the check to come in the mail once its been processed. Thanks!
I am about an hour North from Burlington….not sure exactly how far Burlington is from Montpelier, but I’m guessing that I’m at least a couple hours from Montpelier at least =) I’m not too worried about it – I know they can drag their heels sometimes. haha =)
Also, I am not sure exactly when it was mailed, or scheduled to be mailed out. Just was told “it was process yesterday” when my husband called on Thursday, so processed on Wednesday. I had thought they would have mailed it within a couple days, but we’ll see! =)

How others found here:

  • has ny property rebate checks been mailed out yet
  • the steps it takes to get a rent rebate
  • i mailed in my renters rebate how long before i see an update

And should have tried to get the correct answer from the lady when she said that it was processed yesterday for this purpose BUT when you do get it in your hand available for you to use then at that point in time you will know exactly when you will get and how long it did take for you to get your renters rebate check for that purpose.
Hope that you find the above enclosed information useful. 04/03/2012

How far do you live from Montpelier? If you’re in the metro area and they mailed it on Thursday you should already have it.

First class mail anywhere in Vermont should be delivered in no more than 2 or 3 days tops. If you don’t have it yet, they probalby have not mailed it yet. Typically those things are held for a few days until they can get a large enough mailing to qualify for the lower pre-sorted First Class mailing rates.
