How do I get a replacement form SSA-1099?

Asked by: emeka22uche 2082 views YA Discussion

I moved recently, and never received a copy of my Social Security form SSA-1099. Without this missing tax form, I can’t file my taxes yet. Last year’s still has my old address on it. I have since sold the house, so I never got a copy of this year’s because it was probably sent to the old address. How do I find out how much I received in benefits so I can complete my taxes?

How others found here:

  • 2013 SSA-1099 Sent
  • lost 1099 tax form replacement
  • 2013 SSA 1099 Sent

Don’t worry about the address and the amount for 2011 will be the same as 2010.

thought we got a social security pay raise last year; why would the figures be the same?

Contact Social Security. All the numbers may not be the same, since we don’t know whether you received SS for all of 2010, and your Medicare part D, if any, could be different between the 2 years, and we don’t know if you had medicare for the same number of months for each year. Theoretically you could know all the numbers on the form, but if you don’t, try to get the correct numbers from SS.
