Federal Tax Refund hold up?

Asked by: Jesica Hogan 5450 views YA Discussion

I e-filed my taxes on 1/31/12 at H&R Block. I selected a RAC check for direct deposit. Everything I have says that I will have my check deposited on 2/13/12…well that was Monday and today is Wednesday the 15th and I still have not seen my deposit yet!! Has anyone else had this problem this year, and if so how long did it take past the time it said it would be there? This is so frustrating! Also does the IRS only pay on Fridays like they did in the past or have things changed this year? I just want my money in my account like it’s suppose to be!! Thanks to anyone in advance for answers and help :)

How others found here:

IRS is having problems with its new efiling system
Be PATIENT–Nothing you can do to change anything
IRS has encountered multiple problems with new modernized efling service
Their acknowledments have been timely, but their WMR has not been timely updated and refunds, which typically run 7-14 days are running 7-21 days
Impatient individuals have crashed the WMR and tied up IRS phone lines, further delaying processing
A large number of refunds were deposited last night, but others won’t come until Friday

I filed mine on 2-3-12 and I called and finally got someone on the phone and they told me that it might take up to 45 days. My projected date for my refund is now 3-16. I dont know whats going on over there but this is very frustrating. I have decided that Im going to change my w-2 status to the maximum allowances so I have more money to live off of all year long and if I owe the IRS next year they can wait on there money just as I have waited on mine.

What is the hold up with the tax refunds we filed ours on the 28th of January and still have not received it It was suppose to be deposited in our account weeks ago through direct deposit but was tol there was an issue with the form for my school funding and was rejected so what is the deal I need the money now that is why we filed early and didn’t wait until the last minute WE NEED OUR MONEY ASAP not any different then the IRS wanting there money if I owed them.

Apparently the Fed Gov didn’t have the form approved that you must likely submitted with your return for education credits. I am in the same situation you are and I was informed by my accountant that the form was approved this morning. You might want to check to make sure you don’t have to refile it. ????

THE IRS IS A NON-GOVERNMENT AGENCY!!! They will operate just as any other plain old business. They follow their own laws and only uses government agencies when they need man-power to go collect money they think is owed to them!!
THE IRS NEEDS TO PAY EVERYONE INTEREST ON THE MONIES BEING HELD ALL THIS TIME!!!
    They SUCK!!!

Did anyone get a letter (4464C) from the IRS? Nothing has changed on our return, but got a letter on 2/14 saying the return had been delayed while they conduct a review of: income, withholding, deductions. None of the irs call center employees can tell me anything except to guess. I need my money and the letter says it can take up to 60 days!!! What a bunch of f&%ktards!!!

I don’t know what our GOVERMENT is doing , but i’am still waiting for my return also . I think that everyone that is in GOVERMENT now , next ELECTION we should vote everyone that is in office now out , and send a message that if your not going to work for the people , your going to be out too.
