Do you have to pay taxes for gigwalk?

Asked by: ubinas 775 views YA Discussion

I would like to join gigwalk, but my main concern is if i have to pay taxes? i don’t know anything about taxes yet to be honest and i need to know all information on this please. i prefer to know from actual gigwalkers if possible.

i would also like to know what the age requirement is for becoming a gigwalker.
and can someone tell me what happens if you sign up to be a gigwalker and you are too young
how much money can i make without having to pay taxes?
this job lets me get multiple random small payments for doing small jobs like taking pictures.

You have to pay taxes on any income the government can track.

Only way to avoid taxes is to have an extremely smart and morally corrupt but reliable and trustworthy accountant who specializes in tax avoidance,

or alternatively to make money in a way the government cannot track, and which simultaneously you will never get caught (otherwise you’ll end up paying even more later).

Third, much less desirable way, is to live in poverty and the government won’t want your couple dollars in certain circumstances.

any time you participate in some kind of program in which you are paid some money, or other forms of payment, it is income and reported on Sch C
if the ‘net’ amount is $ 400 or more you will owe self employment tax
and if the age requirement is firm, if you do not qualify, you will not be able to participate
