Do I need to file for 1099 B income to NJ State?

Asked by: sleff 58 views YA Discussion

I prepared the tax return in H & R block online. I reported 1099B income in Federal filing. Then I transferred to State filing. They didn’t carry this income to State filing. Do you have any idea why They didn’t show in State income? Or I don’t need to file 1099 B for state ?

You should not have filed your taxes online. This is one of the

hackers favorite times of the year. To answer your question,

I don’t know the tax laws in New Jersey.

It gets added to your adjusted gross income (agi) and the agi usually flows thru to the state. Are you sure it was left out?
