Anyone who filed injured spouse get their refund yet?

Asked by: pmitchem 3431 views YA Discussion

Filed mine on Feb 7th. It says it has been received and is being processed. I know it’s up to 11 weeks but I thought I would see if anyone who filed around the same time has heard anything.

How others found here:

  • injured spouse 2013 refund
  • has anyone received their 2013 injured spouse refund
  • has anyone received their dd for injured spouse refund who filed on feb 7th?

    Sure, lots
    But depends when they filed
You ASKED that IRS not help your spouse pay their past-due obligations, and that means hand-processing of your tax return. . . .taking 8-12 weeks typically. . . .hasn’t been much more than a month yet

I e-filed my return w/ H&R block and on Jan 17 it was accepted by the IRS. I sent in the Injured Spouse Form on Feb 3rd, the IRS said they recieved it on Feb 7 and on Feb 10 my “file” was re-opened. I calculated the 8 weeks from Feb 10th and that is April 6……..I still didn’t get mine back yet. Good Luck!

I sent mine off on the 23rd of feb but when I call they say they cant tell me anything on the update and there is no way to check on it either!! Is that because I filed it after I found out all the money has been taken???

I was expecting a very large refund this year. I didn’t want to spend it before we had it so I called and checked and they said the disbursement/deposit date was correct as online and that all was well. Well, I never got it at the time and 2 weeks after they said I would see it deposited I got a notice in the mail that they were keeping it for student loans. But I looked and checked ALL correspondence and mail and we never got a notice before, only 2 weeks after. (but online it hadn’t been updated on the where’s my refund), and yes I owe student loans, but I had a severe illness that kept the medical board in our state from allowing me to work so we were pretty destitute (we have 7 kids). I had no idea we had to do an injured spouse because I checked and all was well supposedly. But it’s now been 14 weeks and no word, they say they dont have it, and so on.

One question for all of you. Are most of you registered republicans or demorats? Just curious if the everyday republican is being targeted too by the IRS and the “delay’s” are intentional or just part and parcel of the system. They have lists of how we’re registered to vote.
